Georadar GROT-12 in field conditions. Expeditions-2006.

Expeditions of 2006 year show substantial advantage of georadar GROT-12 both in computer data receiving and data interpretation directly in field conditions. Together with compactness it makes possible to do work in difficult conditions of taiga. Detachable antennas and software adapted for technology of sounding have worked good. Features of construction gave opportunities to reduce power consumptions greatly, and also to use removable accumulators rechargeable from different sources.

Estimation of depth of occurrence and thickness for firm fraction of dolomite in Latvia.

Important practical task has been solved - definition of dolomite boundaries.

Determination of location of kimberlite pipe in taiga.

For determination of location of the center of kimberlite pipe supposed by geomagnetic data a track crossing anomaly of magnetic field has been investigated in taiga.

The profile has been obatained by two-meter antennas and step 10 meters over anomaly according to geomagnetic data. You see its representation in different color palettes. For comparison with geomagnetic data the line of the profile is marked on picture with contour lines of magnetic field by green color. Line crosses fault (|) and the area with small value of permittivity (|), hypothetically it is a center of kimberlite pipe. Anomalistic area is friable moisture soils (clays). Layers are visible up to 60 meters in the depth.

Description of magnetic anomaly was obtained by magnetic survey on 70 meter height from the surface. The size of anomaly is 210*270 m. Intensity is 2.1nTs. Calculated depth of the upper bound of magnetic object is 57 m.
